Kids Corner

Working with the education and marketing committees for the event, Katie designed a “Race Village Passport” that was distributed to the many children who visited the Village to discover more about this magnificent event. The piece was threefold; it was an interactive and educational piece for visiting children, it served as a take-home momento from the event, and also reinforced sponsor recognition. KCC’s goal was to create a dynamic and interesting piece while staying within several different sponsors’ guidelines. We integrated noted environmental quotes, relevant to content, to re-inforce the Exploration Zone’s goal to foster environmental responsibility. CONTACT KCC for more information on 2015 Passport.

KCC was a part of a team of graphic designers for both the 2015 and 2018 Newport stopover of the Volvo Ocean Race. In 2015 KCC designed the Volunteer Handbook, a guide to help regulate and inform the many volunteers who support the event. The goal with this piece was to create a platform where information could be accessed quickly and easily.

KCC also spearheaded a new marketing platform for this global event focused towards children, called the Race Village Passport which can be found in the Kid’s Corner here.
